what is football about......

Well....most of us know football is just kicking the ball around. Football, also known as soccer, is a team sport played between two teams with 11 players for each team using a spherical ball. This game is the most popular game in the world.

This game is usually played on artificial turf fieldwith a goal-post in the centre of each of the short ends. The objective of the game is to score by driving the ball into the opposing goal. In genaral play, the goalkeepers are the only player that are allowed to use their hands to propel the ball, the rest of the team will have to use their feet to kick the ball into position. They could also use their torso or head to intercept the ball in midair

The team that scores the most goals by the end of the match will be the winner. If the game ends with a tied score, either a draw will be declared or the teams will have to play extra time and/or a penalty shootout, depending on the format of the game.

MCG FC is made up of 17 players and 2 goalkeepers. We have won many games with fantastic scores thanks to our team captain, melvyn emmanuel, who have helped us to bring up our teams name. Not missing out our rivals, The Sporting Hotspurs, who have been thrashed so many times by MCG FC. We play with style and skills which often helps us to win games or tournaments. Usually before a game, football team have their own training session, warm up's but MCG FC do not do any of these, Thats the specialty of them. More info coming soon............
